Avian biometrics and ecological niche

Postby Pajarita » Thu Jan 23, 2020 10:07 am

We have always known that we can tell where a bird lives, what it eats, etc from the shape of its beak, body, wings, etc but this is the first large scale study ever on it (data base covers 10,000 bird species!)
As a personal note, people should pay more attention to this because anybody who knows anything about beak shape would realize that the greatest majority of companion parrots are NOT meat eaters!
