Well, you will find many different opinions out there... and most people will say that pellets are the best but I've done research on their natural diets since 1994 and have found that pellets could never be the best (several reasons) and, in my personal opinion and experience, the best is gloop and raw produce at dawn and a good quality mix of seeds and nuts for dinner. Of course, this means that you need to supplement Vit D3 because no plant material has it (only the animal body can produce it -parrots can too but they need to be exposed a minimum of 20 minutes a day, every day, to direct -meaning, no window- sunlight, and that is not possible in cold weather) so I also give them 2 or 3 daily doses of a good quality multivitamin/mineral a week (they also always have cuttlebone in their cages).
