:gray: This is NOT something i would try but i knew someone who used to gave a small coop cup of lager to an african grey he loved it. Is this safe? has anyone else given their grey lager?

I wouldn't even try it.

Alcohol is a no-no for birds, according to all the sites. My grey also has had beer though. She even says "get me a beer" and when I'm having one she really really wants to lick the neck of the bottle after I sip it. She obviously has been exposed to it at some point in her life, but I'd never give her some.

It doesn't matter if they like it, you shouldn't give it to them.

I second this. Its like giving a dog a bar of chocolate or a cat a ton of tuna(mercury). I just wouldn't risk it.

That's just ridiculously stupid. Why would anyone offer their parrots/birds alcohol? Unless you want a dead parrot/bird in front of you, you'd offer alcohol to one. Man, people do the craziest stuff ever. It gets me pissed, hearing stuff like that. Alcohol is poisionous to birds. Doesn't that make the sense to them.

Just as Michael stated, you shouldn't give it to them, whether they like it... or not.
