My African Gray is so sick and I can't find a vet!! Help!!

hello again every one, my parrot didnt improve even after he started having the babies food, he stayed week.. i called vet in israel, she cant help over the phone, she asked to send her the parrot, and theres no way i can send him to her...
yesterday night he stopped eating, refused every thing, and got so weak, he cant even stand now, he is refusing every thing, food, water, seeds... i think its a matter of hours now..

I am so very sorry for you. I think that he has a serious disease and that is why he vomits and doesn't eat anymore. But it is a shame that you don't have a good vet nearby. So sorry... thinking of you!

I'm very sorry. Just try to keep him warm and comfortable so that if he does pass, he will at least not suffer so much at the end. This is just terribly sad.

I don't know if its too late...I hope not!!! Call that chicken vet again, I don't know about the rules etc. where you live but down here a vet is being negligent if they refuse to see a critically ill dying patient, regardless of species and you can call the vet council and complain. He is a vet for crying out loud, we are all trained in critical emergency care and the basic principle doesn't change because its a bird. If he can treat chickens he damn well can treat your parrot, its not rocket science!! Sorry, I'm not mad at you, I am sooo sooo angry at the chicken vet who refused to help you and your poor poor bird!!! Do you have ANY vet nearby?? They can give your bird subcutaneous fluids and at least try to save the poor animal or at the very least euthanase it so it isn't suffering from whatever disease it has.
