Just an update. Poor Rupert is only eating formula right now. He really wants to eat solid food but it clearly hurts too much. I hope this injury heals quickly! I feel so bad for him. At least he will take the formula without too much fuss so that's good.

Thanks for all of the advice. It is much appreciated!

At least he's eating that. Be thankful for what you have. I was so stressed out when Truman wouldn't even eat formula.

Oh trust me. I am thankful he'll eat the formula. The first time I tried to feed him he struggled and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get enough food in him but I guess he got hungry enough to accept it. I'm a bit worried about regression but Truman seemed to do fine in that regard and came through everything okay.

Poor Rupert! I hope he's feeling better soon! I think it's probably really a good sign that he wants to eat, but it must be very frustrating for him -- and you. Keep us posted!

Glad to hear he's taking the formula without a fight.

Here's hoping he makes a quick recovery!

Update- Rupert did manage to eat a little bit of soft bread and a grape tonight so that's progress! I was really getting worried. He was really freaking out earlier tonight, probably due to hunger and pain. He seems so much better tonight. So, things are looking up.

Rupert is doing much better tonight. He is eating soft foods and playing. Doesn't seem to be in pain anymore except that he avoids hard foods. I think he'll be fine. Thanks!
