White Houseplant

Postby Rueae » Thu Dec 16, 2010 1:11 pm

I'm looking for a houseplant that is white and preferably of the flowering variety, that will not negatively affect any parrots.
I figured this was the best place to ask and be set upon the right road.
A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.

You might try a gardenia http://www.logees.com/prodinfo.asp?number=R1279-2 or a Hoya http://www.logees.com/prodinfo.asp?number=R1337-2 I did some research and these are not poisonous...Logee's has a great website and you might look there...

Thank you so much, I was originally looking at gardenia and white lilly.
Do you think the fragrance would be fine? I'm not sure how strong gardenia typically is.

Awe heck, you know how it is, everybody's sniffers are different. I'm an avid gardener and so do a lot of reading on stuff, I like http://davesgarden.com/ because the reviews are revealing. I assume if something is overwhelming pinching back blooms would be an option...
