hi
ive had my gcc for about 3 weeks now and everythings going okay..
but im still not sure what foods/treats are alright for him? ive been giving him his normal seed mix and some fruits and vegetables, but i want to give him more variety. so what fruits/veggies/treats are good? ive been giving him tiny teddy biscuits as treats at the moment but like i said, i want to give him more of a variety

I can tell you that right now, me and my cockatiel are sharing a snack of roasted almonds. They are salt-free, and a very nice little snack for the both of us.

Try them with your green cheek, infact, try a variety of different nuts. Just make sure that there's no added salt.

Scooter likes corn cut off the cob, apple, cherries and berries.

If he's eating a seed mix, you might want to try getting him to eat pellets (I'm still trying with Scooter, and he still picks the safflower seeds out first) and giving seeds as a treat. If he likes sunflower seeds, it would be good to at least find a seed mix without sunflower and reserve those for a treat.
