FREAKING OUT Green cheek conure acting strange!

my green cheek conure Apollo

Hes acting strange! My green cheek conure is suddenly flicking his head continuously! I dont know whats wrong with him!
We've (my family) have had him almost 3 years now , so im aware of his usual habits. So today, He was sitting near me as he usually does when he suddenly started shaking his head repeatedly, like every 6 seconds or so. He usually deos this sometimes but every once in a while, but this is the first time hes been doing it continuously seconds apart.. for over half hour now. Im very very concerned, I almost thought he was choking at first, but it seems he wasnt, I tried giving him water..and letting him eat but hes still doing it. What is this behaviour? Should I be concerned? Is it fatal? Should I watch him through the night? lol (can you tell im attached to him?)

This is driving me crazy becasuse my dad refuses to take him to the vet. If I could I WOULD.

I wish I could help, but my only advice would be to go to a vet.

I'm afraid I'd probably be off to the vet if my guy was doing something like that so persistently. Did he recently have a bath? Could he have something in an ear or nostril he is trying to get out?. If the behavior persists, you may want to see if your dad will let you take him to the vet. Do you have a good avian vet? You'll need someone who is experienced with birds.

Yes, I'd say vet trip if it's continuos and persistent like that...
