Why Did My Budgie's Die?!?

Pat,
Since we are both local to east county--
I could not say enough bad about Pet Smart, one store in particular, but locally all in general. I have no idea about their breeders and stock or sources, and obviously you know far more about this than I do.
On the other hand, Pet Co has gone out of their way to assist me. While they are indeed a "box store" the employees, particularly at the 2nd street store, are in my humble and limited opinion my concerned about the animals. Not so at the other Petxxxxx store where they just want the sale.
But I think this is off track...

The petstore out for mone in my town is the petco. The employees there are not as helpful and none of the animals look healthy. Petsmart on the other hand, the employees were helpful at the 2nd store were very knowledgeable and helpful but the one at the 1st had no clue what he was doing. Petsmart also helps out shelters and their animals, Petsmart Charities provides my local shelter a truck to take up to 60 dogs to a shelter in Colorado because the dogs get adopted their MUCH more quickly.
I think I posted in my OT that I had been living in my house a year when I got the birds, that was a mistake, it had only been a couple of months. I'm not sure when the house was painted and everythink though, must have only been a couple of months before because it is a new house.

I bought both my budgies from a pet smart. I've had them for over a year, and they are very healthy.
