Technically Harrisons is supposed to be the best, being organic and offering all the vitamins a bird needs.
But but but....its really bland and alot of birds dont like it. Im having that problem. I bought harrisons but Lorenzo isnt keen on eating them unless i handfeed them to him as a treat.
I will probably switch to a brand we get here called "optibird" as ive heard great things about it. We cant get roudybush here else id probably choose that.
I try to mix in a good seedmix about 3x a week for a change and i feel they somehow need a natual source of food as well.

Harrison's is definitely considered to be a superior pellet with Roudybush coming in second.

Roudybush is not readily available where I live. Harrison's can be purchased from my vet and a bird store not too far from where I work.

I feed a mix of Pretty Bird Gold and Tropimix Low Fat Bean Mix for pellets. They are well accepted by my three. I offer the Pretty Bird Gold because it has Palm Oil in it which is good for their feather condition. I did notice an improvement after feeding for a few weeks.

I also offer a wide variety of fresh vegetables, grains, sprouted beans and fruits on a daily basis. During the week I only offer at dinner time because I don't have time to prepare in the morning and I don't want to leave in their cage all day and spoil. On the weekends they usually get 2 offerings of fresh food a day.

Ive just swapped to kaytee, I tried harrisons, he didn't touch it, but he is trying the kaytee one, I think it's called rainbow. It's very colourful and smells sweet which seems to attract him to it. It's not been easy converting from seeds as he has had them for the last 13 years before he came to me.
