Amazon nutritien

Postby liz » Wed Mar 02, 2011 12:57 pm

My Amazon Rambo and I just got back from the vet. His feet were dry and scaley. The Vet said it was because of lack of humidity that he needs. He gave me some CHLORIHEXIDERM Flush just in case to brush on his feet with a soft toothbrush.
He also told me to get him RED PLUM OIL. Whereon earth can I get that. He said to go on line to find AVIRx products but my old computer keeps blocking me.
Can anyone help me find my way?

Where are you located? Because I know in my city, we have a "Goodness Me" which is an organic health food chain that sells EVERYTHING. I have bought my red palm oil there for my Macaw, and I have also gotten organic nut butters as little treats for my birds. I'm sure they would carry whatever you are looking for there. I am sure they have a website also, which I'm sure you can order products from. Let me know how it goes. Cheers!

AVIRx.com seems to be generally blocked, it's not your computer. Next time you might want to get your vet to write things down for you. I'm guessing Red PALM oil was meant, but it is good to have confidence you know what you are looking for!

I took Rambo (Amazon) to his Vet yesterday. He agreed with my care of him but he did say to get Red Plum Oil. I had hoped to get it off the internet since I am house bound except for Saturday but my computer is blocking most sights. Thank Heaven I can get here.
I am in High Point NC. We have health food stores here. Red Plumb Oil from a health food store won't come with Rambo instructions. How much would I give him?
I give Rambo unsalted peanuts and almonds in the shell as a treat. It is also enrichment since he has to work for it.

Call your vet and get him to spell it out for you! Seriously, if your vet has prescribed something, I think it is important to understand exactly what he or she is suggesting, and if you are uncertain, follow up. Some vets are pretty good with email these days, too.

I think you want red PALM oil, not red PLUM oil. but please check with your vet. I'm sure you can order it online, but make sure you know what you need and how much of it you need.
