We survived our first night fright

Postby zazanomore » Sat Mar 05, 2011 12:05 pm

Around 5 am this morning, my dog somehow fell out of bed. This caused a big bang noise, and of course it woke up all three of my birds.

I immediately turned on the light. The budgies were flying around, obviously shaken up by the ordeal, but they seemed fine. Einstein however, was madly crying out and crashing into everything in his cage. Finally, after I got my light on, I could see he was at the bottom of the cage. I kept the light on for half an hour, and I was talking gently to Einstein and I placed him back on his favorite sleeping perch (his top food bowl).

I'm really glad that none of them got hurt. The budgies went right back to sleep on their own. While Einstein just has some ruffled feathers, he quickly went back to bed too.

Awww... poor babies!
I used to have tiels, and I remember waking up to the sounds of a night fright. No fun for anybody!
