When he gets into it, make sure there is nothing important near by. Jack ends up coating everything within splattering distance with juice.

I love mango anything, so this is a great suggestion!

I had a bunch of papers sitting on my desk with an unattended glass of juice when Cheney Bird got into it. He may have well knocked the glass over to swim in it, he got it everywhere. So now I have to drink my juice in the kitchen where he can't see me. Otherwise, he goes bonkers trying to get at me and the cup.

Beware "nectar" is not a guarantee it's straight juice. For example, the Hansen's nectars have a ton of sugar. Actually, some things labeled 100% juice aren't really what you want to give your bird (or yourself if you are watching calories) because it has concentrated grape juice or similar.

From a quick google search, it looks like Goya makes 100% juices and nectars but they contain "sugar inverted liquid". Brazil Gourmet makes 100% natural nectars, though, so I might try them. http://www.brazilgourmet.com/pages/products.htm

Back in the old days everyone let their parrots drink out of glasses and i know of lots of birds that drown in glasses so please don't let your bird drink out of a glass, just my 2 cents worth.

I wasn't intentionally letting him drink out of it. I wasn't paying much attention and didn't think he knew that what was inside was yummy. Turns out, I was wrong and now need to hide what I'm drinking from the goofball! Next time he gets juice, he'll get a little saucer of it. As much as I love him, I don't want his head dunked in my drink!

The mango stuff I was feeding him only said 'mango pureee' on the ingredients. So I figured it was good.

I never feed him from a glass. I gave him some from a little glass bowl. Barely a few mm deep of juice. But apparently he figured out that it was the same kinda stuff that was in my glass on his own. Sometimes hes too smart for his own good.
Wild animals are called 'wild' for a reason. Keep them that way. Adopt your pets, or buy them from a certified breeder.

Rory gets first dibs on my juice every morning. 100% juice, 100% delicious...apparently.

I give my Hahns juice, he gets half a cap full of V8 V-fusionfruit and veggie juice. He loves the acai mixed berry. It is sweet potatoe, apple, white grape, carrot juice, acai berry and berry flavour all from concentrate and blueberry juice.

He love it! Though it does change the colour of his droppings for a day! I only give it to him about 3 times a week, only because my kids drink it too fast! I figure it is another way to get fruit and veggies in his diet.....

Has anyone seen that juice commercial with the bats that are talking about the fruit chunks in the juice? I'm wondering if anyone has tried that juice and if so, is it mostly concentrate or is it actually juice? I'm thinking about trying it for Cheney Bird but I'm not entirely sure if it's okay.
