Moldy sprouts

Postby Jenny » Tue Jun 07, 2011 9:07 am

so I just had my first batch of sprouts go bad (before I served them to my tiel). It's awfully warm in Texas right now, & I don't leave my a/c running while I'm gone during the day - will a batch of sprouts sprout if I leave them in the fridge??

yes they will . or for the birst day you can leave them out . cause they grow better in warmth but with the heat they mold faster so just do that for the first day and then put them in the fridge

They grow slower in the fridge, but they definitely do still grow! I notice it with mixes containing small/grasslike seeds more than with beans and larger seeds.
