o my skittles :senegal: looks alot like that. but we got him that way. i got him cuttle bone tinking it might help but he doesnt touch it. i tink ill book an appointment. let me know how u get on...?

I am VERY close to buying a hand fed baby Great billed. I have been doing alot of research on the breed and they have different dietary needs. They should have about 5-8 nuts a day! not too many pellets but fresh fruit and veggies, seeds and nuts. They have strong beaks that need alot of wood to chew.....

The Forum just notified me of your reply and I see that you wrote me over a month ago. I hope you have seen improvement in you Great Billed health. Please note that the bird need a variet of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as expisure to direct sunlight (not through glass) for at least some few minutes; it is for vitamin D.
I would love to hear from you again about your beautiful parrot.

If your bird does not like to eat cuttlebone on its own you can sprinkle the powder over their food or you can buy powdered cuttlebone. You can scrape the dust/powder off by using a dull knife over the food dish. Hard boiled eggs with the shell included are good too. The top part of the beak doesn't look too unusual to me but the bottom part does. Good luck!
