Mealworms/Darkling Beetle larvae

Postby kahawia » Thu Jun 16, 2011 6:16 pm

I have a small colony of Mealworms to feed my gerbils,
Kiwi caught sight of me messing with them and started picking them out and eating them!
She loves them! How many can she eat per day? They are a great source of protein but I don't know if they are good for her. Anyone else feed mealworms to their parrots?

From what I've read, it's healthy for them.

i feed my parrots meal worms once a week at least and usually put in at least 3-4 per bird even the fussy eaters love them and have not to date made anyone sick not even the princess parrots with their sensitive stomach :D
Why do birds sing in the morning? It's the triumphant shout: "We got through another night!"
