Putting Vitamin in Your Parrots water or Not?

You should not put Vitamins in your parrots water because it will become a bacteria "breeding ground". The best way to give your parrot the vitamins is by putting the vitamins in its food or with the parrots favorite treat suck as something whole like a mango. :swaying:

I don't think there's any point in buying vitamins, if you feed a varied healthy diet with fresh fruit and veg, pellets, seeds and other healthy stuff then they get the vitamins in that.

Yea I agree. But there are those cases that maybe the vet recommends it to you but doesn't tell you how to give it the bird. Or he says to put it in the water (WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT!). Because not all Vets' are perfect know it-alls lol

Before you get your bird, you need to know where your nearest avian vet is. No point waiting till your bird is sick and then worry about finding a vet. You need to be prepared for anything and everything

Good work.Glad you have found an avian vet. My nearest is nearly an hour drive away. Hope I dont get any major emergencies. Imagine driving in emergency, under stress, sick/injured bird and traffic.
