Honey

Hi, everyone. Today I gave Papaya some cheerios as a treat for being such a good bird without realizing they were the honey type. Will the honey hurt her?

I am not sure but watch her for sores in her mouth.

I doubt it will hurt her to have it once but I have heard that it is not a good idea to give birds honey. Here is a post I did where I gave the birds honey and was advised not to:

If you give honey water instead of sugar water to humming birds they will get sores in their mouths, not be able to eat and starve to death.

Watch the mouth. Check the cereal box. It is probably more artificial flavor.
