6 year old Cockatiel with runny stool!!!

Hi we have a 6 year old Latino Cockatiel who is perfectly happy and healthy besides his extremely runny stool. We researched it online and changed his diet from pelets to seeds for the past 2 months but still it does not look any better. Does anyone know how to fix this and can help us?

Do you feed any fruits/veggies?

How long has this been a problem for him?
Was there anything changing in his routine or the household when the problem started?
Does he have any other symptoms such as weight-loss, itching, self-mutilation, plucking etc?

Please get the little guy to the vet for a work-up, my tiel suffered for 5 years with runny stool that turned out to be giardia, which is a very tough and common gut parasite in tiels that is even tougher to eliminate. Several rounds of meds later he will probably have a delicate digestive system for life because of the damage the undiagnosed bug did as well the numerous heavy doses of meds through the years.

He does eat about a fruit a day and he doesnt have any other health problems except for that. He acts normal and is his same self, just wondering about why this was happening. It has been happening for the past 4-5 months now.

He also likes brocolli and the types of fruits he eats are usually melons

The melons could be the probolem. I say just give him some mangos once every other day and see if it stops. The same thing happend my my cockatiel. Lemon, she got to much melon liquid in her and it made her stool runny. Just try it and see.
