cant get my baby cockatiel to drink water

In a flock they learn from each other. Either from an adult or an adventurouse baby. He just doesn't know the other foods yet.

Corn flakes will not replace crumbles but it is worth a try to see if he will nibble.

today when i waked up i looked at his water bowl and im sure that the water amount has decreased .im not sure if he is drinking from it or he stepped in it :lol:

It could be that he drank while things were quiet in the house but you also have to allow for evaporation.

Just keep up the hand feeding as long as he wants it. Maybe thin it down with a little more water.

Yep, when I was going to get my tiel from the breeder, she said I had to wait another week because one of the tiels unweaned and they thought it would help if my tiel was there so the other one could copy it eating

Don't thin it out with water, j keep handfeeding as he long as he will accept.

well . he stopped taking as much as before .

when i first got him i used to feed him 3 times a day 12cc's each

now i feed him 2 times a day .and he would only take 9 or 6 cc's then he would refuse to open his mouse . any way i wont stop hand feeding him until i see him drinking :mrgreen:

he finally drinked water from the water bottle but i used force . i holded him and put his head close to the bottle once his beak came in water he drinked now when i put him infront of the bottle he would drink :)
