I don't know about chicken or tuna but everything else sounds good.

If you eat a healthy diet with fruit and veggies just share with the bird. I am not big on green things so I prepare that just for them.

Berries themselves aren't toxic but excessive pesticides are often used. Citrus generally aren't considered good for them so skip those. Apples/bananas they love. Don't give celery, lettuce and things of those sorts because they are poor nutrition and dilute the parrots diet. Corn is ok in moderation cause it's mostly calories. Spinach isn't too good cause it pulls away the calcium or something like that. Don't give any fish because fish concentrates heavy metals and is completely unnecessary to their diet. Beans and such are fine cooked or raw. Cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and such are good for them and should be served raw.

Only chocolate, avocado, coffee, and alcohol are considered toxic. But there are many other foods that don't do them any good, are mildly harmful, or are cultivated in a manner that is toxic rather than the food itself.

I didn't see peppers on your list. They like the occasional chili pepper. I don't think chicken is necessary but eggs can be served in moderation on occasion. I mix the shells into them, here is how I prepare eggs for birds.

I give mine the green leaves off the celery. Mine eat banana seeds, cucumber seeds and squash seeds with the food. I don't give them hard seeds which includes apple seeds.

:amazon: Rambo & :amazon2: Myrtle like their veggies raw but also eat the cooked ones.
:greycockatiel: Shadow & :pied: Sweetie, :pied: Lemone' & :greycockatiel: Twinkle, :greycockatiel: Tommy & :greycockatiel: Tammy and of course :swaying: :swaying: Tweetle Dee & Tweetle Dumb can't eat carrots and sweet potatoes unless they are shredded or cooked.

They all like pasta.

A few moments ago I cut up a whole fresh pineapple and a fresh cantaloupe (specifically for moi, but I DO share). Do ya think my guys/gals woulda tried to peck a piece? Nope. Nada. Nuthin'. Never. Ditto for cherries, grapes and nectarines. And greens? Forget about it. But, I AM persistent, and I WILL keep on tryin'.

The ONLY thing they DID eat one day, on a one-shot-only deal, was some cooked chicken. They scoffed it up like there was no tomorrow. The second time I tried to give 'em some, they just laughed at me.

How such a small creature can make such a big human feel so stupid is beyond ME :-)
