yesterday i took jango to the vet and she had very good comliments for him saying he was in perfect condition, his wings were great and his deformed toe he had has healed great and shouldn't ever cause anymore problems. she asked me what was feeding him and said i was one of the best lorikeet owners she had come across :D so i left feeling happy also

the toe was turned slighting inwards which caused the toenail to not touch the perch so it kept growing because it was not wearing down which caused the tow to turn inwards even more. what they did was clip the toenail and file it down, as it was a muscle not bone the maniplutated the toe and taped it to the toe next to it for 2 weeks. i dont know how jango did not chew it off!

Good for you! I'm not often on this forum anymore, but you're one of the people I miss and from all I can glean, you are one of the best pet bird owners on the planet, period!
