Pop, Beer, any canned drinks.

Hey all, I have a bizarre question for you all. Whenever i have Kiwi out and i have a drink thats canned and from the fridge Kiwi will always lick the condensation off the outside of the can. He loves doing that. I haven't seen a problem with that (except for when he almost knocks it over)

Recently he managed to get some of the Cola that was on the upper rim, not much cause i stopped him as soon as i realized it. Ever since then he always goes for that instead of the condensation, and he has been relentless about it to the point where I can't have a can of pop or beer while Kiwi is out of the cage. How can I stop Kiwi from constantly trying to get it.

put it in the drink bottle, or drink water

That's actually not a bad idea. the next time you have a drink, wash the can and fill it with water. when your bird drinks from the rim and it's just water, it might not be that interested in it anymore after a few times. or alternately use a tissue or paper towel to just wipe off the drink from the rim.

or keep a clean empty can all the time and fill it with someting nice like green tea or camomile tea and u can act like that ur sharing....u have urs he has his...
