Sounds like begging until you mentioned the carrot. Maybe get an AV check because a bird that young could be having a crop difficulty. Better safe than sorry

Tiki did this before sexual maturity, too. I don't think it's begging behavior. What you're describing are practice sex dances. Your Sennie is in puppy love and is excited to build a nest with you in the future! Tiki did the same thing. Just be careful how you stroke your bird, don't touch the bird's back, or tail feathers. Put your Sennie in the cage when he or she starts the dancing.

Alfie is dancing all the time at the moment, and regurgitating too. I always put him down and walk away when he's doing this though sometimes that's easier said than done :shock: I never touch him on his back or tail, except to cup his body briefly during training as I'm working on teaching the 'grab'. He's only about 9 months old.

Please take the bird to an AV and have him tested because bringing up food during weaning is a symptom of PDD.
