Postby parrotlover » Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:47 am

Hey guys my Chevy LOVES BREAD!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if it is totally good for her. What I do is let the bread get stail and hard and put it in her play bowl in her cage or cruch it up in her treat bowl. I leave this in her cage but is it good for her over all? she eats it alot every day too. :?

Don't feed her too much because it's not very nutritious but it fills her stomach.

I would suggest you look up a bird bread recipe on google and bake her healthy bread with veggies and various grains as well as some pellets.

I give mine a piece of the crust of toast when we are eating breakfast but only about an inch square. They love it but it is not nutriciouse enough for them. They love pretzels but I only give them a little pretzel stick every once in a while after I use a vegetable pealer to remove the salt. They love Cheetoz too but only get one as a special special treat. I posted before what :amazon: Ramb does with cheetoz.

Oh OK thanks. Well she doesn't really even eat Bannanas, nuts bigger than a bead, and to eat millet to some degree. She's very picky and is a pain in the a** sometimes lol. She fights when she doesn't get her way. (such as semi-biteing, flying off [which really isn't flying she just does her reverse flying because she doesn't know how to go forward yet 'thank god i guess lol'!]... She's starting to get used to my time periods for when I MYSELF gets home after school, and she knows now when I get home.... lol I can't even go to the bathroom right when I walk in the door without her cherping her mean and small beak off. I really should cook andy bread because I can't even cook Ramen noodles or Macaroni right with out something over flowing or burning! lol! So yea.... That's my life at the moment.... Anything such as hints, helpful commetns, and criticism would help. Thanks all!

Your the Poppa and she is the kid. Don't let her tell you what to do.

My dogs used to grat me at the door demanding attention. That got old. I couldn't even bring groceries in without being mugged.

I started ignoring them until I was in and settled then calling them. They learned to wait then get attention.

Chevy won't starve. Chill out.
