Stuffed Peppers

Wanted to share the stuffed peppers I made for the birds recently.

I plugged the ends up with balls of rolled up collard greens, stuffed the inside with Harrison's Pepper Coarse, millet, and almonds, and then I wrapped up everything in collard greens. Even Romeo and Juliet enjoyed it.

I'm on a mission to combine breakfast and foraging. I'm going to try to make a variety of totally edible foraging toys. I'm thinking of hallowing out an apple and filling it with treats next.

That looks pretty good. How do you give them to your bird, in a bowl? Its a very interesting idea

I line the bottom of the cage with newspaper so I just put the peppers on a fresh sheet of newspaper and take the newspaper up when they are done. They don't like it when I put large objects in their food bowls for some reason.

Good idea... I though about hanging one up with string... have to try some things.

my parrot never had fresh foods before i got him and every time since i got him we have these tiny plates so i just fill those up and put them on top of his cage instead of with his pellets :) he seems to enjoy it so maybe your bird will to?
A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song. <3
