Foods for nicer feathers?

Was just wondering if there is anything specific I can give my Jo for her feather, they look a little rough. I have bought a special bird lamp, this might help too, she always seems to be molting...

Anything very specific for feathers? She gets salad and veggies, apples, eggs sometimes and she is on Zupreem pellets.

She also bathes regularly, almost every day so that shouldnt be the problem.

Jo needs green and orange veggies - no iceburge lettuce. Romain and other greens are good.
There is a dietary suppliment called Booster from AVI. I also use Rain Tropical Spray.

Myrtle was in dire straights when I got her and I did as much as possible to bring her back to health. My 20 year old was having foot problems and these things seem to help too.

How would I give this to her? On her fresh foods or maybe in her bathwater?

I do think my bird lamp is going to help too, she seems to love it, will sit right next to it looking all pretty

Honestly I think a high quality pellet diet is the best solution for good plumage. I can vouch for this both from things I've heard from others and my own parrots.

Pellets arent that easy to come by here in Denmark... parrots arent as high on the 'pet' list as dogs and cats are so its limited. She is on Zupreem and those should be pretty good quality.

If you happen to bake bread for her you can spread some on top of the bread. I usually add it to a warm meal so it melts a bit and is easy to mix in. I have heard it is best to add it to cooked food after it is done cooking. If you let it stay at room temperature you can just dribble it over whatever vegetables, pellets, or seeds you give her. If you keep it in the fridge it will solidify a bit but you can always let it sit out for a while.

I wouldn't put it in her water or spray her with it. Sometimes my birds get a little on their faces when they are eating and it is hard to get out. Also, it took my birds a while to get used to the taste of red palm oil. Now they love it but they were not very happy at first. I would start by adding the red palm oil to something your bird really, really loves so she is more inclined to eat it.

I can actually answer that Liz, to ship something heavy as pellets from the US to denmark will cost a fortune, really a fortune (the price would probably be about 3-5times what you pay per kilo, if not more). I also live in scandinavia and I have ordered things from USA before, its fine as long as its a REALLY small item, but go up in weight and it rapidly becomes very expensive.

My suggestion is to look for online retailers in denmark, there should be plenty. From my understanding, keeping birds is a quite big hobby there!
