Mom and my aunt have high blood pressure. They were low sodium. I don't know how she knew but she got excited and went right to them.

Dante is kind of funny about food. He normally won't eat bread or many fresh veggies, while my other boys love them both. I've found that he's more inclined to eat things like rice if I feed it to him from a spoon. (High maintenance much, Dante? LOL) He enjoys sharing soup from a spoon as well, although he doesn't get that often, due to the sodium.

I think part of it is a comfort thing for him. He wasn't entirely weaned when I first brought him home and I was feeding him formula from a spoon. (OMG, what a mess! Thankfully he switched to pellets after five days.)

I microwave small batches of frozen mixed vegetables in water to feed to my GCC and UnCape. I drain the water off and allow the temperature of the mix to cool to safe levels. I'm a bit paranoid about 'hotspots' caused by microwaving, but otherwise think the nuturition and variety are good for the FIDS. The only problem is that they tend to pick-out (usually corn) what they want and throw the rest to the cage floor :) :gcc: :cape:
