He sure did Lemon, but what people here are saying is not to speak unfondly of their sun conures.
What others and I cant help but notice is your seemingly fickle approach to pet ownership, and that is where the concern comes in, and the educating comments from others on the difficulties of owning a conure. You seem to have had problems with your cockatiels. I am loathed to classify them as beginner parrots since I believe this leads to their improper care all to often, but they are an easier bird to handle than a conure,
I understand rehoming for the sake of the pet. I had a guinea pig who was two, our other six year old guinea pig fell ill, and at the age of six, really doesnt have much longer left to live. We rehomed our two year old guinea pig because they are herd animals and need companionship. We knew a friend with a guinea pig who could take her. We wanted to break the cycle of forever having guinea pigs and this was a fair way to do it while not having a lonely pet.
What I do not understand, is rehoming pets so that you can get other pets. Every day I see birds needing new homes listed on kijiji, and other websites. There is a problem out there where there are more birds needing good homes than there are people willing to take them. If you ask me, your act of getting another bird to replace yoru tiel contributes to this problem. I do hope that you reconsider rehoming your tiel so you can get another bird. I have three birds, and a bichon frise and one sick guinea pig, while working full time. They all get love and attention from me on a daily basis. You can make a multi pet home work, its just about finding time for the things that are important.
