Water Silo

Postby blinkanyoullmissme » Tue Oct 11, 2011 11:29 pm

Hey i got one of the water silos for my GCC but he stills tries to use it like a bath. He runs out of water so quickly and im afraid it might be unsanitary. I give him daily baths to try and get him to stop useing his water dish but it doesnt seem to help. any advice? :gcc:

I've heard GCCs and BCCs described as "water babies". I think it is just something they are going to do. Nikko bathes in his water dish often, and usually manages to splash water clear across the room in the process. It is one of the reasons I bought a house with hard wood floors. I just mop up, give him new water (and new food, since it is always soaked as well) then mutter about Daddy having to clean up Nikko's mess and live with it.

He seems to do it more often when he is molting, and all my boys are growing new feathers right now.
