14 week old hahns macaw with itchy nostrils, sneezing help!

We collected our new hahns macaw on sunday and he has slightly pink nostrils, occassionaly he sneezes t clear them and sneezes with a clear residue, it hasn't happened more than twice a day but when it happens it really seems to bother him and he makes whistling noises as he breathes through his nose.

Made appointment at vet, could it be an allergic reaction to any material?
Bought from parrot care breeders as they seemed like the most proffessional and are spposed to treat their birds very well.
Very worried about Snuffkin!
Any ideas would be appreciated

It could be a number of things. Clear residue suggests that it isn't bacterial, but could either be allergies or something viral, or other. Very good idea to take it to the vet ASAP. Also, did you get a health guarantee from your breeder?

Hey, thanks for the advice, we took him to the closest tropical bird specialist, diagnosed beginnings of sinusitus, got some metacam and batril and he has his nostrils flushed.
Have not heard back from ParrotCare regarding their 30 day health insurace policy o_O...

Meds were pricey, but Snffkins worth it
