Vicks V745A warm mist humidifier

Postby Soarer » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:51 pm

Does anyone use a Vicks V745A warm mist humidifier for your birds? I have bought one and then read (below) that it is not safe because of the Teflon that is used in the heating element. The unit only heats up to 130 degrees and Teflon has a melting point of 327 degrees. I have been using it around my bird for a few days now with no problems. Does anyone else use one? What are your thoughts and why?

I don't use that one but I do have a humidifier because when I turn my heater on the room becomes extremely dry. I've had my bird for about 12 days now and he looks fine :) I don't think it should be a problem.
