fresh veggies daily along with a few fruits. We feed him a high quality pellet but I felt he was lacking in his diet. I looked up a few mash recipes online and gave one a whirl...huge success!! I cooked a 1/2 cup quinoa, a sweet potato and a carrot. Mashed the veggies, added the cooked quinoa and added some millet. I was going to roll them and cover with oats but realized I was out..no matter because Jojo dug right into them! 
If anybody else has quick and easy recipes for mash would love to hear about them!
