Kaytee brand pelleted food

Postby Raccoonlassie » Wed Dec 21, 2011 12:37 pm

I have been reading alot of the posts on good and bad foods here but I haven't seen any on Kaytee brand pelleted food for parrots. What are your guys opinions of this food? I bought the Kaytee natural as I didn't want all the dyes in the food.

I have not heard if it is a quality food one way or another, but there is lots of talk about Kaytee running bird mills. Personally I opt not to feed the food to my birds on that basis alone, the last thing I would want to support is a bird mill.

Not the best, stay around from all petsmart, petco foods. I would only feed Harrison's, Roudybush, or Totally Organics pellets (that I consider the best of all pellets.)

Thanks for all the input. I was told that they are feeding zupreem fruit blend to the birds right now but I am planning to switch them to a natural pellet to get away from the dyes. But I don't know how well they will swap :)
I did go to the safe bird webpage and look around. I really like the totally organic foods. It looks like it would be really good.
Again thanks everybody who replied! :gcc:
