Birdy cake???

Postby Crimson_Shadows » Sat Jan 07, 2012 3:56 am

Okay i know this probably sounds ridiculous but, im one of those people that likes to celebrate their pets birthdays. And was just wandering if there was a form of "cake" that is safe for birds. I was only planning to make like a cupcake. Does anyone know a recipe?
RIP Bo. your epicness lives on in all budgies :D

I second the birdy bread idea. I would go a step further and make a picture of a bird out of lentils, veggies etc for the top of the birdy bread. I wouldnt attempt to do an icing out of anything with sugar, you could maybe get away with a veggie puree like sweet potatoe and apple puree for an icing?

I agree with the birdy bread idea. If wanting to make it a little special, Avian Organics sells mixes that have fruits and other goodies in them. My birds love them!

I think that even though this site specializes in budgies, the recipes would probably work for other parrots.
