Having trouble flying.....

Postby laducockatiel » Sun Jan 22, 2012 6:54 am

Hiya guys.

So Ladu has been having trouble flying today. He's had a few feathers fall out while he has been flying in the past couple of days and I don't know if that has had any effect or not. He's been flying pretty low today and he crashed into the wall. He seems fine, except he doesnt really want to fly anymore. I'm not very sure if there is anyone wrong with him or if this is normal, so I would really appreciate your help!

Regards,

Because they keep secrets from us you can only assume that there is a problem. Maybe he pulled a muscle or got up on the wrong side of the bed. Just watch him close for other simptoms.

I reasontly had a loss. My Twinkle died. She was on the bottom of the cage while everyone else was perched one night. The next morning I got her out and checked her. She had dried poop on her butt. I washed it off under warm water and she pooped a lot. I guess she had been hiding her problem too long. She died in my hands.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ladu is doing fine now, I think he was feeling a little traumatised from the crash in the wall so he wasnt so confident about flying. I just let him out now andhe had a good fly anout and he is asking me for a head scratch right now  so I reckon he is ok.
