Thre are different methods depending on how fussy your parrot is.

If your parrot isn't too fussy then you could try offering the pellets as a treat possibly as a reward for good behaviour before offering it in a bowl in the cage.

If your parrots very fussy then I reccommend this article but tailoring it to your birds needs

I've managed to convert both my green cheeked conure (who isn't too fussy) and my cockatiel who has refused to touch anything other than seed for 5 years.
My 'teil won't even touch damp seed etc so I gave her a bowl with a bit of the mash in so she could pick the seed out if she wanted (she never touched it once) and then a seperate bowl with plain pellets in.
She didn't touch them at all so I mixed seed in with them later in the day to stop her losing too much weight like last time. Over the space of a week I did this but I gradually mixed less and less seed in. I think it helped this time in that she saw Ollie eating the pellets but I think the fact I did it gradually definitely helped. A week and a half on she was fully converted, now she only has seed as a treat.

I had previously tried to get her onto pellets before but she just stopped eating entirely, the vet told me 'just to give them with nothing else until she eats them, she wont allow herself to starve' but that nearly ended very badly because she didn't recognise them as food.

I also waited to convert her until I had a week off work to keep an eye on her properly due to the fact she would normally rather starve than try something new. Anyway if Harlie the fussiest bird in the world can do it, I honestly believe any bird can. Good luck.

I recently converted my Rosella and she is the fussiest thing! What helped me the most was making the pellets moist with fruit juice, and then pressing her seed mix into the pellet so she had to fish the seeds out.
Another method that worked was crushing the pellets to be the size of her seeds. That way she accidentally learned that they taste good, and now she's a pro at pellets.
Good luck!

My new sun conure :sun: has the same problem. She is not used to the harrisons pellets and would not touch it. She used to eat only seed cakes. This morning, I tried the trick of mixing pellets with orange juice and she immediately started gobbling pellets in. Since it was our first time to try this method, I added maybe two parts of freshly squeezed OJ and one part pellets.

Very good method  Now just reduce the amount of OJ slightly over the period of a week or so and there you have it, a pellet loving bird!
