Conure Squeaking

Postby PirateKing » Thu Mar 01, 2012 3:51 am

I just got a new bird. It's about two months old. It makes a squeaky noise :? , and it looks like it's sneezing when it squeaks. I just want to ask around about it. I'm sure its capable of all kinds of sounds but I've heard that sometimes squeaking is bad :o . It's not very often and it sounds exactly like a dog toy.

If he sneezed more than twice get him to a vet. It could be an upper resperatory infection.

Is it a quiet squeaking? And what does it look like when you say it looks like he is sneezing? Does his head move or does his whole body sort of switch when he sqeaks?
My conure quietly squeaks and twitches a bit (but it could look similar to a little sneeze) when he is sleepy. Your bird is very young and I think a lot of baby birds often make little quiet tweeting or squeaking noises when they are young.
Does your bird look comfortable and content when he squeaks? Or what is the situation when he makes the noise?
