Hey Liz, the vets here don't seem to be seeing animals that aren't registered with them as emergancy cases- ridiculous. I will travel anywhere in the country that I need to though, I don't care about the cost either. My birds are priceless to me. I've been ringing round the nearest places and working outwards, obviously when a birds sick, the nearer the better. I'll keep ringing places.
Both birds have already been tested for giardia and come back negative, it is hard to diagnose though so we had to get 3 samples from each bird. I should think they would have tested positive out of 6 samples if it is that though.
Does anyone else know of a UK avian vet who will see a 'tiel ASAP?
