A few days ago, Spencer started taking afternoon naps at the bottom of the cage, with his chest laying flat on the floor, wings dropped, head lying sideway... It was a EXTREMELY scary view when I first saw it. The worst of all, he was sleeping so tight, it took me a min or two to completely wake him, a few more mins before he climbed back to his perch.
Needless to say, I took him to a vet. Nothing the vet could've done, I let him took some blood and perform a few tests, but not a complete blood work. since the vet honestly told me, its either nothing, or something extremely serious that a blood test probably won't help.
But Spencer acts perfectly normal other than taking a nap at the bottom with a weird posture. Then a member of the local forum saw my posts, he has a few CAG and TAG, and he shown me some pictures of his greys taken naps in almost exactly the same style. He told me greys will do that when it feels hot and wants to cool down while napping, then some of them will get hooked to that position and continue to do the same thing when it is not hot.
Oh well... something to learn everyday I guess.
