Tiel in the floor

Hello I recently adopted a clipped baby tiel and he seems to believe that he can fly. So today I went to go change my other tiels water and I left him on the play gym because he usually just falls asleep /preens. Although when I came back I found him on the floor walking around. So I was wondering if it's bad that he was in the floor not just for now but for future reference. Any help is greatly appreciated

If you can't fly you walk.

Just like a baby. If your floor is clean you let them crawl. Until he grows his flight feathers that is the only way he can get around. Your other tiels will go to him to play since he can't get to them.

Cockatiels are ground-feeders in the wild (they tend to forage on the ground for seeds and things) so he'll probably like being on the ground just because of instinct.

Leroy likes our living room floor, Stitch just joins in to play, but they both spend time there!
