Going to answer this anyway even though my birds have not been diagnosed yet.
1) dont know whats wrong with them yet, currently undergoing more testing. Their symptoms are feather plucking in the wing pit (Ollie) and general irritability, rough preening and screaming when preening (Harlie and Ollie) and bubbles in some of her faeces (Harlie)
2) So far it has cost me roughly £300 for BASIC blood test to test blood count and organ function, 1 x-ray, 3 lots of antibiotic and a precautionary spot on for mites even though they were not really suspected.
3) Ollie was treated mid November- January with antibiotics which seemed to cure him but now whatever is bothing him is back and affecting my other bird too. Currently having faeces tests done and an examination of some plucked feathers. Havent had the bill for that yet, test results due back Tuesday.
If you dont have savings get insurance... I can see this getting very expensive. Don't forget the cost of traveling to an avian vet if you don't have one locally. 2 hours travelling every week or two adds up very fast.
