Honey for treats?

So I've been wanting to make Ladu a treat and I thought of sticking seeds together with honey, so I was wondering if it was safe. Does anyone know if honey is safe for tiels? Thanks in advance

Small amounts of honey is fine as long as it isn't too often as well.

I'd be really careful with honey... not because of the sugar content, but because it could get stuck in their throats or esophagus. This is the reason it is not to be given to infants and toddlers.

I'd use something with a bit more nutrition and less sugar--some sort of fruit puree maybe?

I don't know about parrots but you can't give honey to wild birds because it causes sores in their mouths. Humming birds love it but will die because the sores get in the way and they can't feed.

But I'm thinking of refrigerating it, so it will be dry, is that still not good for them?

The others are right, I should have said only tiny amounts and let it set, its what the treat sticks and seed bells are stuck together with.

Even if you disregard all the warnings given here, don't forget honey contains lactose and birds are loactose-intolerant.
I'd say you'd be better safe than sorry but as far as I know it is used for bird treats and such.

Really? I never knew that honey contains lactose. Are you sure about that?
