Is it just yawning???

Postby xxlazaro » Tue Jul 24, 2012 5:24 pm

Hello I have two cockatiels and in the last two months or so she has been doing this thing that looks like a yawn but she does it repeatedly and she does not do this everyday but like one a week or so when I put the water in front of her she sometime drinks a sip and sometimes she doesn't I have seen videos of other birds doing almost the exact same thing but I don't know if this is okay I any knows what it could be let me know I know their is a possibility that it could be that she is pushing food down and she also does this at around this time ( the late afternoon )

Any help is highly appreciated :) :greycockatiel: :greycockatiel:

All my 'tiels apart from Tico have made a habit of repeatedly looking like their yawning. They will do it loads for a while then not for ages.
I've never noticed and of my other species do it, they do yawning motions but not over and over and over like the 'tiels.
