Nope, but I don't think there is any harm in putting one in, they only tend to use them if they need them. If your 'tiel does start using it excessively you can always take it back out.

I've tried them - my parrots show no interest in them whatsoever. I have old world parrots - I wonder if new world parrots might be more interested? I think it comes from South America maybe?

yeah. If there's any real mineral content / if there's any validity to the sales pitch, my new Pionus should like it. But we all know how that goes, which is why I'm asking for some feedback from y'all.
