she freaks out when i try putting a dish with sallow water next to the cage.. so i tried getting a spray bottle and sprayed the mist at her. and she freaks out even more. im looking for some advice on how to do this.
Lol, I have an idea. How about instead of spraying directly onto your bird, try spraying above your bird and then letting the water gently fall onto your bird. This will be less shocking for your bird and it will gently introduce your bird to having a bath. Also, what temperature is the water you spray your bird with? I find that warm water is always better for spray misting,
Gila tends to prefer me hanging wet grass she can rub against. However I do bath her with a spray bottle or the shower as well, but its an idea. Hanging wet greenery and see if she makes use of the water.
I bought Rambo a shower perch but he prefers his old ways. He likes to catch the run off from the shower curtain. I put him on the bottom of the shower under the shower chair and he leans his body on the shower curtain and flips around until he is soaked.
Myrtle is another matter. She will alow me to spray her but only when she is on my shoulder. We both get wet.

I'm not sure if your bird will like this, but it's worth a shot. Try putting your bird in the sink and turn the tap on ever so slightly. Maybe it'll learn to play with the stream of water.
