My parrotlet gets tired after a few flying

Postby Fportilla77 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 7:45 pm

So I launch my bird into flight and it does one lap around the room and then it gets tired and doesnt want to fly any more. The bird is missing like 3 primary flights in total. This parrot was originally clipped when I got it. How can I help it fly more without tiring itself out? :flapping:

Just time and space to exercise n fly.
Don't carry the bird everywhere, encourage it to fly to you (or wherever it wants to go).

Review Michael's blog on flight training. Get a couple of flight/training perches. Target from one perch to the other...gradually increase distance between the perches. Best bet is to read/watch the flight training info.
