Thanks Marie,

I've discovered she likes sardines today  , I had some (just packed in spring water, no oil/salt) and she decided to have a nibble. Plenty of omega-3's, good fats, calcium and vitamin D so I let her have a teeny bit.

If her cholesterol isn't high then I'm not going to never let her have a bit of nuts/palm oil/fish or flax because clearly fat in the diet wasn't an issue. Instead I'm going to do some more thinking (I'm coming up with a weird hypothesis in my mind re. greys in captivity and their diet) and try a little bit of an unconventional approach once I've drawn up my battle plan and I know (post-ultrasound) what I'm dealing with.
Till then the plan is a low-fat lower protein diet with as much vitamin C, omega 3, pomegranate juice n cayenne pepper I can get into her as possible.
