As to the warm thing, does it make Jacko more hormonal? Nika is ten times better about her hormonal tendencies now, but one or twice a day she has to do her little regurgitating movements, usually while touching a toy, and peep quietly to herself. Then she's done. I think she just gets so excited she can't help herself. I would like her to stop being hormonal because I hear it can be damaging to them, but she doesn't do it all the time so hopefully it's okay...

Also the pureed idea sounds good. She HATES broccoli and cauliflower but if it was mixed in with what she liked it might be okay.

Honestly, cold fed or warm fed I haven't noticed a difference.

She can be worse hormonally and better, I just sort of brush it off and quietly adjust or manage her.

As for hormones being bad, I would think that inappropriate petting and lack of 'travelling' are bigger hormonal triggers than warm food. As far as health I would think that lack of fruit or veggies in the diet will be worse than being riled up.

Grey_Moon -- I LOVE the idea of grinding up pellets for birdie flour! I'm crazy about baking and this is a good tip. Thanks!

Hmmm. Well, I don't "really" feed Tiki meals per se; I currently work from home, and I have Tiki on a schedule of feeding times. For us humans, it's better to eat small portions throughout the day, so I do this with Tiki, too. Basically, she eats when I eat. She's at 93 grams currently. I know Senegals are prone to getting fat so I watch her weight. It's hard to not spoil her with treats, though!
