Has anyone tried these pellets?

Are they any good? They sound like they *might* be better than the harrisons but I don't know a huge amount about parrot nutrition.

I know exactly how frustratin' it can be when ya take the time to ask a question here but never getta response from anyone, so please allow me to be the first (and maybe, the only...?) to respond:

Sorry but no, I've never even heard of nor tried 'em.

As hard as I might try, my guys ain't real big on pellets anyway. Brats :-)

Hahaa, no I really wasn't expecting a reply tbh as they seem to be new over here but I asked on the off chance that they may have been out in some other countries first.
Thank you for the reply though :D

Hi there. I haven't purchased them to give an opinion about them. Harrison's is a great bird food though. I have used that brand often but now use the ZuPreem brand. My parrots love the fruit blend and cannot get enough. I have different brand reviews at my website if you're interested.

Cheers for the link Mike, my two are currently on Harrisons, which I prefer due to the least added crap (chemicals) out of the ones available here. Always waiting for something better to come along though :)

Here's the actual ingredient list. The whey powder doesn't thrill me.
At its base its still the same wheat/corn/sunflower/soy mix as the Harrisons.
But the added veggies n flax are good.

*Personally* I'm not crazy about the excess sugar (molasses) but I like that it doesn't have a lot of synthetics. You'll need to research the ingredients to assure balance and D3 (as there's no synthetic D3 in these).

To sum, it has its good, its got its bad. But it looks to be slightly superior to Harrisons.
I'd give it a shot especially if its more cost-effective to get.

Haven't tried it, no. We feed Tik "Sleek and Sassy"... a mix of pellets, seeds, nuts, and dried fruits/veggies.

Harrison's is not a great food, it's ok when you can't get anything then use it, otherwise stay away from it!

Peanuts, soy, corn, sunflower seeds that make up Harrisions is not the type of food to constantly feed a bird...

That Beaphar formula is ok until you get something better or make your own bird bread formula.

The problem with the Beaphar are these which aren't good;

Starch
Maize = Corn
Soy Bean Oil
Whey Protein - added to give the bird protein this is really stupid for an animal, because it's isolated from whey, a by-product of cheese manufactured from cow's milk, where the heck in nature is a bird going to eat whey from? LOL...
Calcium Carbonate
Dicalcium Phosphate
Sodium Chloride

STAY away from this formula and in the mean time if you can buy it get TOPS;

Besides TOPS, check out Goldenfeast;

Or start getting into health and nutrition for yourself, and then buy nice organic grains, flours, legumes/beans, fruits, veggies and start making your brids a healthy bird bread, this will be a heck of lot better than those crap Beaphar pellets.

Cant get tops in this country and harrisons is working for my two, it is the best available in this country.
As for educating myself I am as and when I have time. For now my birds are on the best diet I can give them according to the research I have done but as I've told others there is always room for improvement but I dont want to mess up the nutritional ratios by trying to formulate my own at this moment in time.

I agree, we have our tiel on that now. To my mind if an avian vet sells and recommends it they know best!
